SOUNDTRACK WEEK: Coolio "Gangsta's Paradise" (1995)

This song is off the soundtrack of Dangerous Minds, which is but one in a stream of inexplicably similar no-nonsense-teacher-rattles-some-cages-at-an-inner-city-high-school movies. I think Dangerous Minds was supposed to be "grittier," which is, of course, why they chose the rapper who was famous for saying "slide, slide, slippity slide."
